1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using ClipNote, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ClipNote. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@clipnote.site if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. What ClipNote does
ClipNote transcribes videos you share with the app and generates structured notes — key takeaways, action items, concepts, and quotes — using third-party AI models. The quality of the output depends on the clarity of the source audio and the nature of the content. We do our best, but we do not guarantee perfect accuracy.
5. Content ownership
The videos you share remain the property of their original creators. ClipNote does not store copies of those videos — they are deleted immediately after transcription.
The notes ClipNote generates from your shared videos are for your personal use. You retain ownership of your notes library and can export it at any time. You are responsible for respecting the copyright and terms of service of the platforms you download videos from.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ClipNote to:
- Process content that violates any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Generate or store content that is illegal, harmful, or incites violence.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the free-tier limits.
- Interfere with the operation of the service or other users' accounts.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Subscriptions and payments
ClipNote offers a free tier (5 notes per month) and a Pro subscription ($4.99/month or $34.99/year). All paid subscriptions are handled through Apple's App Store under their Standard EULA for subscription billing.
New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You can cancel anytime from your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple per their standard refund policy.
8. Free tier limits
Free accounts are limited to 5 notes per calendar month. This limit resets on the first day of each month. Attempting to circumvent this limit will result in account suspension.
9. Service availability
We do our best to keep ClipNote online and working, but we do not guarantee uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, all your data is removed from our databases within 24 hours.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email before they take effect.
